I am displaying the art in stages, here is the under-painting developing the tones and placement, the eyes, lips and bird will be next (that pic should be on tomorrow) and then I will create another layer with more shaping of her facial features and darker tones to begin creating the contrast.

I started this modern comical painting of Leona a few months ago. I hope to finish over this holiday weekend. I enjoy working on the square canvas it seems to fit the style too.
I had to post this one even though she is not finished, I need to add her notes and some more highlights.
